PATTERN DETAILS

This listing is for the Knitting Board PATTERN only and Not the finished item. Rudolph is ready to keep you warm this Christmas! Make this cute Rudolph Scarf using a RG (regular gauge) knitting board. This is such a fun scarf to make. Your children will love having their very own Rudolph Scarf. Make one in different colors for each of your children or grandchildren. Rudolph's face is on both sides of the scarf, so it's reversible! Basic knitting board skills are required. Depending upon your experience level you can complete this scarf in 4-6 hours. NEW INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO'S There is a link to an instructional video teaching you how to crochet Rudolph's ears and antlers. The password for the video is in the pattern. NOTE: I've had many people ask me if my scarf patterns work with the Knifty Knitter boards and the answer is no. Why? Well the gauge is way too large and you can't get a tight enough stitch. You really need to use a regular gauge knitting board and there are many places that you can find them online. I prefer to use the scarf regular gauge boards as my patterns only use 7 pegs. They are sold using pegs or pins, my preference is pegs. I suggest either the Mini Scarf loom or the Scarf loom at CinDWood Crafts here... http://www.cindwoodcrafts.com/products-page/looms/shape/panel-looms/ Be sure to ask for either with 5/8 inch spacing. Another option is the Martha Stewart loom kit which you can find at your local Michaels Arts and Crafts, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics. You can use a coupon as well which makes this kit affordable. Then set the pieces up as knitting board and use the pink pegs in every other hole. You can find a preview video here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GisJh98Z56k BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knitting on a knitting board crochet

I have always had a love for anything crafty! I learned to crochet as a teenager, but had only made afghans. Then in 2006 I wanted to crochet my daughter the Lilliana shrug. Suddenly I understood how to read those crochet patterns and finished that shrug in less than a week! After that, I crocheted more and more clothing projects. I learned to loom knit in 2004 as I loved the look of knitting but did not know how to needle knit. I searched the web and found lots of helpful advice on looming and then started purchasing every loom and board I could. Soon after I started designing my character scarves. I have loomed socks, scarves, hats and purses and was just starting to learn to knit garments on the looms when I finally learned to needle knit! That was in 2007 and I taught myself to knit watching the videos on www.knitting-help.com and have been having loads of fun knitting every thing in site and increasing my knowledge and skills. The saying you are never too old to learn something new is so true. If you put your mind to it, you can learn anything and have loads of fun doing it. I hope you enjoy my crochet, looming and needle knit designs as much as I did when designing them!
