The ear flaps are double thickness to create Pudgy frog thighs that will keep ears extra warm. Or, Leave them open like pockets for teen snowboarders to put theire headphones in place. The extendable tongue tucks in the mouth out of the way, or make it extra long for young ones to tie a pacifier to it. Don't worry about the difficulty level, I've included instructions and web links to video tutorials if you need visual help. The yarn is inexpensive, easy to substitute and available at most craft stores. So you can make plenty as gifts that everyone will ROFL for. ROFL (Roll On the Floor Laughing) is my mission in knitting. For 30 years, I've been a Graphic Designer/Illustrator by day, and a Fiber Artist by night. (Sometimes very late at night.) I'm a self taught fiber nut Each of my patterns have a little challenge to them. But don't worry, I have a list of "Technique LINKS" to help if my photo instructions are not enough. Remember it's an animal hat, They are very forgiving. People will be too busy "Rolling on the Floor Laughing" to notice any flaws. !!! Not a Knitter but just got to have one. Contact me with your request and I'll knit it for you. Knitted hats from my existing patterns vary in price from $50 - $75 plus $10 Shipping. Got a request for a specific animal, give me 6-8 weeks and let me see what I can come up with. Prices vary with specifics. Contact me with questions or errors. I love to talk about my hats.
