I've been knitting since my grandmother taught me the basics when I was a kid - she used to knit baby clothes for the gift shop at the local hospital. Then I learned the rest from books. I knit off and on until my daughter was born and only rediscovered the joys of knitting in the last seven years. I have always been interested in crafts and fiber arts - I worked in the theatre doing costume construction and design for many years and have sewed, crocheted, quilted, needlepointed, and cross-stitched. I work full time now as an interior designer and furniture consultant, but in my free time (what free time?), I have so much fun dreaming up new knitting designs and creating patterns.
