I've always been intrigued by pictures of sound waves where they are shown as repeating lines with a spreading effect. This pattern reminds me of those pictures and it is fully reversible, so it doesn't matter how you wear it. This pattern contains both written and charted instructions as well as a blocking schematic. However, even if you love charts, it might be easier to follow the written instructions on this pattern as the inner edge is a 1 row pattern, and the main body is also a 1 row pattern. Both lace patterns are easy and repetitive but they do occur every row. This pattern is easily modifiable. There are two lengths written in the pattern for a shawlette or shawl version. For the shawl as worn, it will be longer than 65 in (165 cm) asn teh front edges will drape and create long ruffles. Due to the nature of digital downloads, this pattern is non-refundable. Please ask any questions before purchase. I've been doing all sorts of crafts for most of my life. I love the pattern and structure of mathematics and how mathematics is interwoven with design and nature. I am inspired by color. I think one of the reasons that I've always enjoyed art and design is that I enjoy thinking analytically and transferring that into an artistic interpretation. I enjoy taking what I know and creating my own interpretation. I hope you enjoy knitting my patterns as much as I have enjoyed designing them. My goal is to provide a clear and well-written pattern that includes all of the information that you need to get a great result. The project might be challenging but that should not include trying to figure out the pattern! You may always email me at
