It's not quite a scarf, and not quite a cowl... it's a scowl! This scowl is both practical and stylish. The main part is worked in double rib, designed to be long enough to wrap around the neck twice. The ribbing progresses in two separate parts from the focal point - a beautiful, large cable, which keeps it all "fastened" around the neck. The cabled section then flows seamlessly into an unusual I-cord fringe. Eileen Casey is a designer from Ireland now living in beautiful upstate NY - where thankfully there is plenty of sweater weather. She has been knitting since she was 5, and couldn't imagine life without needles in hand. Past projects bring memories of life events back to her as vividly as certain scents do for others. Right now she tries to fit knitting and designing around looking after her two preschool daughters - secretly hoping that soon they'll be able to do the sample knitting for her!
