Pattern Details

This little sundress and matching jacket make a wonderful set for special occasions. The dress is incredibly fun to make and to wear. Its slightly "twirly" design is perfect for your special ballerina. The jacket is waist length to show off the fun striped skirt. Use the dress as a jumper, add the versatile jacket, and this set will carry her through the cooler months if made in wool. These patterns are also available individually as the Rainbow Sundress and the Cropped Rainbow Jacket. See my pattern page for more details. I am a self taught designer, having spent many hours researching and reading about the skills needed to learn clothing design. Having had much experience sewing, gave me a lot of knowledge about how clothing is constructed, which is an essential skill in being able to design. Experience knitting, gave me the tools I needed to master knitting techniques and be able to shape the fabric in the way I want. Learning is an ongoing pastime, there are always new techniques to master. I design clothing for children up to about 10 years and also adults. I have been published in Universal Yarns, Willow Yarns, One Skein Wonders for Babies, as well as various online magazines and self published designs.
