Inspired by the cheerful plant that brings a splash of color during the winter months, I designed and hand knit this 16"x16" Poinsettia pillow cover used a white acrylic worsted weight yarn . It has an envelope closure so that it can be easily removed to change your seasonal decor or for washing if needed. The pillow is knit first and then each leaf and petal is knit separately and sewn in place to create the flower. GAUGE 4" x 4" (10cm x 10cm) = 16 stitches and 24 rows SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 16"x16" (40.5 x 40.5 cm) SUGGESTED YARN 500 yards of Worsted weight

Originally from the UK, and after almost 13 years in Texas, I now live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and sons. Easily outnumbered by boys in my house, I am queen of my little realm, hence the title Ladyship! Ever since my Mum taught me to knit and sew I have loved the creative process and experimenting with design. I find pillow covers to be the perfect way to combine my love of design and the textures that can be created with a single strand of yarn. I especially love experimenting with cable patterns.
