The beaches of the Pacific Northwest are not sandy, but rather are strewn with miles and miles of rocks. And the closer you get to the water, the smoother and rounder the rocks become, having been tumbled repeatedly by the waves. The lace pattern in these socks reminds of the rows of smooth little pebbles that line the shore. The pattern is easy to memorize, and makes for quick and simple socks to knit that are also quite elegant. My name is Nona and I've been an avid knitter and paper crafter for over a decade. In July of 2015, I opened a yarn shop in Edmonds, WA with my mom. It's called All Wound Up, and we hope that you will visit if you are ever in the area. I'm married to my best friend, Dave, and we have 3 active, intelligent, and precocious kids! I began designing patterns in 2009 in an effort to raise money for our second daughter's adoption. Now all of the proceeds of my shop, Nona Pearl Creations, is helping pay for our kids' education, as well as sports and other lessons and activities. Kids are expensive! Thank you for helping support our family with every purchase you make!
