Peacock Eyes Beret is a seamless hat worked from bottom to top all in one piece. It features a collection of lace motifs resembling the eyes on a peacock(tm)s tail. The beret is suitable for various wool blends with good stitch definition. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace motifs. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knitting in the round simple lace decreasing and increasing stitches. GAUGE Measurements taken from a relaxed fabric after wet blocking. 18 sts and 24 rows in 10 cm / 4 in St st worked in the round with needle 4.5 mm / US #7. 22 sts and 48 rows in 10 cm / 4 in Garter st worked in the round with needle 3.5 mm / US #4. Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS One size - to fit most heads with a 54-56 cm / 21-22 circumference. SUGGESTED YARN 180 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Malabrigo Rios

  • Needles 3.5 mm / US #4 circular needle (at least 60 cm / 24 long) or dpns. 4.5 mm / US #7 circular needle (at least 60 cm / 24 long) and dpns.
  • Stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving.
