PATTERN DETAILS

'Over Firth of Forth' is inspired by the engineering genius, Forth Bridge in Scotland. Finished in 1890 this massive cantilever connects Edinbugh and Fife through beautiful beams and angles. It has the appearance of a horizontal hour glass. My ode to 'Over Firth of Forth' is a rectangular shawl/stole with a convertible option and architectural lace patterning. It is knit from the center out. Over Firth of Forth contains written and charted patterns for both fingering weight and aran weight yarn. (info above, if not otherwise noted, is for fingering weight Finito, only). small note: I am a loose knitter so please check your gauge. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Experience in lace and cable work is helpful GAUGE Finito, 11 sts x 17.5 rows = 2" x 2" Twist, 8 sts x 20 rows = 2" x 2" SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finito, fingering weight 16" x 67.5", blocked without button holes.
