PATTERN DETAILS

Orixa is a graceful statement piece designed to add warmth on those chilly spring and summer evenings. Knit it in a bright jewel tone and it's the perfect complement to jeans and a cute tank; in an elegant neutral it's alluring with eveningwear. You can wear it as a tubular scarf as well. Choose a luxury yarn like Hazel Knits Divine (Merino/Cashmere/Silk; shown) for beautiful drape. Scalloped lace edges the cuffs, and mock-cable lace elegantly accents the neckline. Easily-memorized stitch patterns add interest to the knitting process and look deceptively complicated when finished. With seams for added stability. Lace patterns given in charted and written instructions. I'm Andrea and I make great knitting patterns! I live on Vancouver Island in Canada, where I knit, design, and ride my bike. I love the functionality and beauty of knitting and knit everything from head to toe. My patterns have been published in Brooklyn Tweed Wool People, Twist Collective, Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Knitty, and other publications, as well as independently. I'm working on a book called Rugged Knits with Interweave that's scheduled to come out in the spring of 2016. All of my independently-published patterns have been thoroughly tested and edited for clarity and accuracy.
