The Sochi Winter Olympics are almost here. I thought it would be great to support Team USA with these great Go For Gold Mittens. Go For Gold is in the palms and USA is on the back of the Mittens. Be careful making these in public you may be asked to make a pair for them too! The pattern includes charts for the design and links to videos for doing Intarsia in the round as well as the Kitchner stitch. If you have done circular knitting and color working this would be a great project for you. If you have never done either but are the adventurous sort, go for it and be patient. All handmade items have a bit of the makers soul in them. When you hold it you can feel the energy, care, beauty, creativity, fun and whimsy or just pure love that was given to make the item. There is no better way to tell someone how you feel by giving them (or yourself) something handmade. Everything I make is made this way. Whether its a pattern for you to make the item yourself or something I make on your behalf. Please feel free to sell or donate items you make using my patterns. I truly feel its important to encourage others to make and give as a way to support the entire fiber arts community. Become a friend: pinterest: Thanks! Aud
