PATTERN DETAILS

Moss stitch cowl - 60cm (24 3/4 inch) This winter's must-have garment! The cowl evokes the spirit of survival and protection against the elements. Whether you're hunting in a post-apocalyptic world or just taking on a chilly night, this one is the perfect accessory. This version is comfortable and functional without extra bulk. Slip it over a jacket and go take on the world! This minimalist cowl is very soft, warm and tailored. You can knit this one as a gift both for man that for woman. This simple cowl is worked in moss stitch to produce a simple pattern, and is closed by vintage buttons... What gives it its small retro side. Mine is knitted from a soft wool yarn that is easy care. I knitted this one for my husband last winter! And now I want to knit another one for me! Skill level: beginner. This is a step by step knitting pattern written in standard american term, it includes written pattern. Written instruction for special stitches are noted. You can always contact me if you have any problems with the pattern.

My name is Arianna, I have an architecture degree, all my life I've loved to make and create things. I like to see a raw material be turned into something useful or beautiful. At the moment I'm obsessed with creating things from wool for my daughter. I began knitting in 2010. My initial attraction to knitting was the charm of celtic pattern. Not only does the craft have a rich history on its own, but each individual braid has its own story to tell. I love the idea that I am not just creating something beautiful to look at, but also something to be used, something that can become part of a family's history. My hope is that patterns I make will be used and loved and then passed down through generations. All the pattern are handmade by me with my own two hands and imagination in my home in Italy. Have something special in mind that you don't see in my shop? Custom orders are welcome. If you are craft addict, I'm sure you can find something for your DIY projects at my blog where I share my free patterns. Free to visit it here: http://naonu.blogspot.it/ I also write a blog www.architectoftaste.com where I post about italian recipes every day. Feel free to check it out and drop me a line...it has nothing to do with selling, it's just my daily dose of positive thinking.
