The smaller circles within the larger circles that make up the motif of this hat remind me of the keyhole portion of a Mortice lock. In Canada, (where I live) Mortice locks aren't often seen on doors and their most common application appears to be on furniture. Which begs the question- what do you keep locked in your coffee table? Is your coffee table actually not a coffee table, but a secret door that once opened leads to folding stairs descending to your subterranean spy lair? If so kudos'. Also, nice choice of lock. I’m 27 and live in northern British Columbia with my beloved boyfriend and Labrador/Bernese Mountain dog Sophie. I've been knitting steadily for about 7 years and mostly gravitate toward knitting cold weather accessories and patterns with interesting elements involved in their design or construction. Lately I’ve really enjoyed creating hat patterns.
