Pattern Details

Easy to knit sweater pattern for a rib knit cardigan with three quarter length, wide sleeves. This knit cardigan pattern features an easy to knit stitch that is a 2 row repeat. The cardigan is knit with size US 10 knitting needles, so it knits up fairly fast. The yarn recommended for this pattern and used in the photos is Hobby Lobby I Love this Yarn - or any acrylic #4 weight yarn - you will need about 1000 yards to complete the sweater. The stitches you will need to know to knit this sweater are knit, purl and slipping stitches to complete this pattern. You will also need to know how to seam pieces together to sew the sweater together after each section is knit. The sweater directions are for a small, medium or large. The small fitting a size 33 to 34 inch bust, medium for a 35 to 36 inch bust and the large for a 37 to 38 inch bust. The stitch used for this pattern is slightly stretchy as it is a rib stitch so the sizes may stretch a little as worn. Also, pattern was tested in the size Small and fits a size 6 to 8 person. All sweaters measures approximately 24 1/2 inches in length from the shoulder to the lower hem and the sleeves measure 13 inches long and 17 1/2 inches around. This is a great sweater to have for chilly evenings at home or to wear layered with jeans or a skirt.
