Pattern Details

A maddy laine knitting pattern for a shrug-length cardigan that can fill the bill for dressy or casual wear as well as doing what a cardigan should-- covering up and warding off the occasional chill This design would be a great topper over a LBD, those fancy little frocks, usually worn in the evening, often sleeveless and bare-shouldered. This shrug would cover up as well as complement. The cardigan is knit with a DK weight yarn in an openwork stitch, using a larger needle size. Add the short length of the garment to that combination and you have a fairly quick knit in your hands. Don't discount a metallic yarn for this topper and add some sparkle to that special occasion. The knitting pattern, written in both US and metric measurements, includes a schematic drawing.
