One of the things that I find most important in a sock pattern is if it can be used for variegated, semi-solid and tonal yarns. Mirrored Step really shows off in semi-solid and tonal colors and helps to break up pooling in hand dyed variegated yarns. It's a fun knit and easy to remember stitch pattern. The Left and right socks are mirrored images of each other. The Mirrored Step stitch pattern has a wonderful cushy feel to it and is even more noticeable in luxury yarns like Shalimar Breathless, Verdant Gryphon Bugga, Cephalopod Bugga and Hazel Knits Entice. Mirrored Step is written as a cuff down sock, but can easily be modified for knitting toe up. Instructions are given for using four double pointed needles, but can be converted for using the magic loop method, two circular needles, or your preferred sock knitting method. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit, purl, knitting in the round, using double pointed needles GAUGE 30 Sts X 46 rows in Stockinette unblocked and worked in the round over 4" X 4". SUGGESTED YARN 425 yards of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Shalimar Breathless, Verdant Gryphon Bugga, Cephalopod Bugga and Hazel Knits Entice COLORWAY Shown in Sanquine Gryphon Bugga Adonis Butterfly

The Blue Ridge Mountains form the backdrop for my home in Central Virginia. It’s a beautiful area and the surrounding countryside provides inspiration for many of my designs. The ever changing colors of the seasons remind me of the hand dyed yarns that I enjoy using in my designs. I strive to create patterns that are fun to knit and easy to follow. I hope that you will enjoy knitting them as much as I have enjoyed designing them.
