PATTERN DETAILS

A small knitted Holiday Wreath (5.5" in diameter). There are no wires or inserts in the ring, the structure is held together by the power of yarn engineering. The Mini Wreath is great in Christmas colors, but you could also knit one in black and orange for Halloween. For an ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER knitter because the short row shaping is fully explained in the pattern and most of the wreath is knitted flat on straight needle and the part knitted in the round could be knitted flat and sewn together instead. Otherwise there are only three short sewn seams. HINTS AND TIPS to help you with this pattern are available on my blog http://nattyknitter.wordpress.com this is mentioned in the pattern. I'm an expat Brit living in the San Francisco Bay Area and a stay at home Mum. I'm also an avid knitter with many ideas for interesting designs using unusual construction and techniques. My Mum taught me to knit when I was 7 years old, I thought I'd forgotten it but when I came back to knitting 7 years ago I discovered that it was all still there. I love to knit in 3D and around corners, so I use knitting in the round and short row shaping in many of my designs. I'd also prefer not to sew lots of pieces together, so my knitted toy designs have as little sewing as I can manage.
