In certain angle, this pattern looks like 3D blocks to me. It reminds me of the buildings in the big cities, hence the name. This scarf begins with stitches cast on for the lace edge along the two lower sides, then stitches are decreased to produce a triangle shape. Pattern includes charts and written directions, and stitch count totals for every rows. I also include the tips how to make larger shawl and the yardage needed. Suggested yarn: Any sock yarn (I am using Dream in Color Smooshy 100% Merino Wool, color: Absolute Magenta) 355 yards. Knitting Needle: 9.00 mm only to cast on and 4.0 mm for the rest. Crochet Hook: 3.5 mm to cast on (optional). If you use crochet hook to cast on, you can use knitting needle size 7.0 mm to cast on instead of 9.00 mm. Finished Size: 102 cm (40") across top edge, 51 cm (20") long from centre top to point. Level: Intermediate

I live on a tropical island called Penang which is one of the states in a country called Malaysia, but it does not stop me from learning how to knit. I knew how to crochet since I was 6 and taught myself to knit about 5 years ago and after a couple of projects, I began designing my own patterns. I just love the process of designing, from the imagining of the design to the drawing and even the math part of it. I love to wear something pretty and feminine and it is reflected in all of my designs. I have 2 small daughters that need a lot of attention besides my full time job, so I am happy enough if I can publish 3 patterns a year.
