Worked from the top down in undulating cables and twisted rib, these socks are handsome for both men and women. The cables are cleverly designed to flow right out of the ribbed cuff and down into the heel flap. The 4-page PDF includes both charts and written instructions for each row of the cable sections. If you prefer to work toe-up socks, working from the chart will result in the same look (note that the pattern does not include instructions for working toe-up socks).
