Pattern Details

Marelle is an asymmetrical triangular shawl, knitted top-down on the bias. It has an interesting colorplay, created using different techniques. The big color changes are worked in the intarsia technique, the small color changes are worked stranded. If you're not familiar with these techniques - don't worry, they(tm)re not difficult at all! There is an explanation of both of them in the pattern. This shawl is designed for men, too! Yardage requirements are 3 balls of Knit Picks Palette in color A (grey on the sample) and 1.5 balls of Knit Picks Palette in color B (violet on the sample). GAUGE 12 stitches and 11 rows = 2 inches in garter stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 65'' [165cm] wingspan along top edge and 28'' [70cm] long at center after blocking SUGGESTED YARN 900 meters of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Knit Picks Palette COLORWAY gosling and mulberry

I love to collaborate with other creative types around the world, and my patterns have been published by yarn companies and knitting magazines large and small. I live with my husband and three children in Bonn, Germany, where I find inspiration in the landscape, history, and culture.
