I wanted a knitted lace paw print but couldn't find one, so I got to work trying to design one. I finally came up with this paw print stitch and used it in this scarf, along the a lace leaf edging. I love the feel of Louet Merlin yarn and how it shows the lacey pattern. It does need to be blocked to really show the pattern, and may tend to roll up, but a light pressing with an iron will solve that problem. This scarf makes me think of good times walking my dogs in the park. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY lace knitting, reading chart GAUGE 7 sts = 1 inch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS one 100gm skein makes a scarf about 42 inches in length and 7 inches width.
