Small shawls are a brilliant way to show off the sock yarn that's too pretty to wear on your feet! This crescent shaped shawl has a great shape that's easy to wear, as it stays on without a shawl pin; it can work as a scarf and be draped in many different ways. It's designed to use one skein (about 400 metres/440 yds) of a solid, semi-solid yarn or gently variegated yarn. Beginning with a center neck cast on, the shawl features 2 columns of yarn-over increases, accented by baby cables, plus increases at the edges. The first section is in garter stitch, so the knitter will see fast progress. The pretty lace edging (2 sets of interlocking triangles outlined in yarn-overs) forms a scalloped edge which is blocked into points to complete the graceful feminine look.
