This hat is knit bottom up, incorporating a classic lace stitch pattern. The size made can fit small to medium-sized heads. However, a slight increase in the gauge will create a hat that can possibly fit bigger-sized heads. Materials used: 16-inch Circular needles DPNs (for the decrease rounds) Tapestry needle Because of the details of the stitch pattern, it is recommended that you use a solid-color yarn, or any yarn that can accentuate the lace-y stitch design. :) BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY purl two together yarn over knitting in the round GAUGE 5.5 sts x 5 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch SUGGESTED YARN 130 meters of DK weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Any solid-colored yarn that gets the gauge

Supplies Needed

I've been crocheting and knitting on and off since 2008. I rediscovered and renewed my knit-/crocheting fervor after cleaning up my room during the holidays and discovering old balls of yarn. Buying new sets of hooks and needles helped too. :) I also play with my Singer Premio once in a while and am now starting to fall in love with hand embroidery.
