PATTERN DETAILS

Nova Scotia is surrounded on all sides by water and is renowned for its numerous lighthouses. These buildings frequently employ the ultimate in curly stairs to reach the lamp room. This stitch pattern used for this bag is German, called "Wendeltreppe", which translates to 'spiral staircase'. This is an entertaining pattern and the stitches are easy to read making for knitting fun. The stitch pattern lends itself well to adjustment of its repeat by the omission or addition of yarn-overs. This project is also available as a kit from my website.
