The cable element of this sock reminds me of the infinity symbol, which is also known as a lemniscate. This pattern provides instructions and charts for the sock to be knit toe up & cuff down I decided to do this because the stitch pattern will look pretty either way, and I know there are people who rather one method over the other. Another interesting feature is there is only one chart to follow, which incorporates both sizes and works for both toe up and cuff down!
