PATTERN DETAILS

This pattern is written for babies from 3 month sized through children size 8. The sweater can be made either as a pullover or a cardigan, and in colors suitable for a boy or a girl, making it a very versatile pattern. Because the yoke is made with variegated yarn it gives the look of Fair Isle without all the work. The top down one piece construction makes this pattern the perfect pattern for a knitter with little to no sweater experience. Mommy sized pattern will be released soon. My 5th grade teacher taught my whole class to knit. My grandmother taught me to sew when I was about 7 or 8 and an old family friend taught me to embroider when I was very young. I was always doing some kind of needlework. As an adult I supplemented our family income by sewing professionally. Now I'm thoroughly enjoying the process of designing and writing knitting patterns. My sewing knowledge has been extremely beneficial when designing clothing patterns.
