A rescued vintage pattern from 1939! A neat ribbed pullover in two sizes with a v-neck designed for the Women's Land Army. I found the pattern in the Imperial War Museum and decided to rescue it! The pattern is available in two 'sizes' but the ribbed pattern easily accommodates smaller or fuller figures. It's a very easy knit and a really cheap knit too! As it was published during WW2 when rationing was high and yarn was scare it's a very economical knit - pattern suggests 10-12 oz of 4-ply yarn (about 300 - 350 grams) but test-knit garment used less than 200g. GAUGE 10 stitches and 11 rows to 1 inch SUGGESTED YARN 300 yards of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Holst Garnstudio SuperSoft
