This sleeveless cardigan style tank top with lacy peplum was inspired by an outfit I sewed for my daughter years ago. With the matching pair of bloomers that sport a delicate picot lace edging around the leg openings, this is the perfect summer outfit for the active baby/toddler. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Stockinette stitch, garter stitch, knitting in the round (stockinette and garter stitch); lace patterns; short rows with wrap and turns; picking up stitches in the round; three-needle bindoff; (optional) Kitchener stitch. GAUGE 18 sts and 26 rows = 4"/10cm on US 8 in Stockinette Stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 3m [6m, 12m, 2] Finished Chest Measurements: Approximately 19.75 [21.75, 23.75, 21.75)"/50 [55, 60, 55]cm

Having had much experience sewing, gave me a lot of knowledge about how clothing is constructed, which is an essential skill in being able to design. Experience knitting, gave me the tools I needed to master knitting techniques and be able to shape the fabric in the way I want. Learning is an ongoing pastime, there are always new techniques to master. I design clothing for children up to about 10 years and also adults. I have been published in Universal Yarns, Willow Yarns, One Skein Wonders for Babies, as well as various online magazines and self published designs.
