PATTERN DETAILS

This light and airy beret is perfect for spring or fall. It uses the same twelve row lace pattern as the other Lacy Lady patterns and the colours in tonal or slightly variegated yarns are highlighted by the stitch pattern. It is worked in the round from the bottom up. There are two sizes to choose from - Regular or Slouchier. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knitting in the round increasing, decreasing knitting lace (k2tog, yo, RT) blocking a beret GAUGE 25 sts and 32 rows = 4" [10 cm] in pattern worked in the rnd with larger needle, after blocking. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Regular (shown above) - will fit up to 23" head circumference. Approx brim circumference: 14.5 inches. Approx height from brim to crown: 7.5 inches. Approx circumference when laid flat: 31.5 inches. Slouchier - will fit up to 24" head circumference. Approx brim circumference: 15 inches. Approx height from brim to crown: 8 inches.
