Pattern Details

* Knitting patterns that are mini tutorials in themselves. Not only will your file contain all the knitting instructions you need to make the illustrated garments, but I've added helpful photographs. There is even a mini-tutorial at the beginning, on how to do edge stitches, and how to neatly work in two colours. The coat/jacket also has two sleeve options. One is fuller for wearing over thicker garments such as knitted sweaters, and a regular sleeve for wearing over thinner garments or bare arms. Tailor-made to fit Kaye Wiggs resin dolls. This pattern fits both 43cm Mei Mei body, and the taller 45cm MSD body. The hat is stretchy enough to fit Layla-sized heads and Gracie-sized larger heads too. All these items can be worn directly on the doll, or over a thin garment, such as a sleeveless dress or tank. The directions and images walk you through the techniques used to knit these items, so should be suitable for beginners and experts alike. Basic garments like these are great for design. Once you're familiar with the pieces, you can alter the design a little, add embellishments, try different stitches, etc. Garments: Two lengths of coat.jacket Pompom hat with or without ear-flaps. Yarn: For the pink set, I've used Sirdar Snuggly 4ply for the main colour, and Sirdar Snuggly Crofter Baby 4ply in contrast colour. For the blue set, I've used Patons Diploma Gold 4ply for the main colour, and Sirdar Snuggly Crofter Baby 4 ply for the contract colour. Several unbranded oddments of 4ply yarns were used to make test garments. They all work beautifully. Amounts: 1 50g ball of yarn in main colour, and one in contrast colour is more than enough for both hat and coat. Needles: US size 1. UK size 13 (Metric 2.25mm) US size (no equivalent size). UK size 11 (Metric 3mm) (There is no equivalent US size for 3mm needles, but they can be purchased very cheaply from Europe or China on Ebay or Etsy. I provide a search link in the pattern) Yarn and needle conversion charts are included, as is a list of standard knitting abbreviations. THIS SALE IS NOT FOR A PRINTED PATTERN. It is a digital download in the form of PDF files. You can either print out your project, or use it directly from your tablet or computer screen. Contents: PDF file, with full instructions, hints, and photographs. Please be aware that these two files are exactly the same in content, just in different sizes of paper for printing out. Choose the paper size relevant to your country. One in US Letter size (USL) One in A4 size. * CHECK OUT MY BLOG FOR REGULAR UPDATES AND PICTURES OF MY DOLL PROJECTS: (Cut and paste the link into your browser.) DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES, I DO NOT MAKE DOLL GARMENTS TO ORDER. You are welcome to use my patterns to make your own doll clothes to sell. HOWEVER - please respect my copyright, and give credit to Raccoon’s Rags on your sale page. For example it’s okay to write “Handmade by myself, using a Raccoon’s Rags pattern” or even “adapted from a Raccoon’s Rags pattern” But not “My own design”. I always credit other artisans/designers when I use their patterns or adapt them. They did all the hard work and deserve the recognition. Many thanks and happy knitting.. *
