A classic tweed sweater with a twist, this cozy knitted garment will keep you warm all winter. Its flattering slim silhouette is enhanced by the vertical decorative seams running down the body and the top of the sleeves. The twist is the contrasting edges worked in a lace weight yarn. They add just the right amount of interest to give this casual wear sweater a touch of elegance. The Kolk-sweater is knit using the contiguous sleeve method developed by Susie Myers, i. e. it is worked in one piece from the top down. This makes it very easy to try the garment on as you go and add or subtract rounds whenever necessary to create a perfect fit. Kolk is designed to be a flattering fit for small, medium and larger sizes. To achieve this, the pattern calls for extensive waist shaping in the small and medium sizes (sizes 32-38) and moderate waist shaping in the large sizes (sizes 40-46). From size 48 upwards, the sweater is knitted in an A-line. Kolk is shown with moderate waist shaping. Knitting for me is all about experimenting, trying new things, re-discovering old stuff and mixing everything together. I also like a challenge when I knit. I enjoy immensely to have an idea and to think: Yes, this would be nice but it is impossible to do. - Then I find a way to do it. It is just wonderful that I can write down my ideas at home, upload them here on Craftsy and instantly share them with other knitters all around the world. I so love the internet!
