I am a Kitsilano housewife; I sculpt my body at hot yoga, dine on organic food, and stroll down to the Granville Island Market for my weekly grocery-shop. I live the good life with my tall, dark, well-educated (and wealthy) husband. I have a busy volunteer schedule but still manage to find plenty of leisure time to bask in the sunshine at Kits beach and knit my heart out! (ok... I must admit, this is a fantasy.. but an interesting fantasy nonetheless!) This frothy little kerchief would is the perfect addition to the hottie housewife's wardrobe. It also works for all the rest of us wannabes who still have to work for a living! note: this pattern includes charted lace instructions only. The chart is not written out. Pattern Info Skills Required: following a lace chart, increases, decreases, slipped sts. sizing Kerchief measures approximately 22 by 7 inches The design is quite flexible and the finished fabric is quite stretchy. The finished size will depend on your gauge and how aggressively you block the kerchief. materials Yarn: 150 yds lace weight yarn for kerchief size (sample shown in Plymouth Ecco Cashmere in 'natural') Gauge: 26 sts / 4" in stockinette stitch Needles: US #2 / 2.75 mm needles; straight or circular; or as required to meet gauge Notions: stitch markers, darning needle BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY following a lace chart, increases, decreases, slipped sts. GAUGE 26 sts / 4" in stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Yarn: 150 yds lace weight yarn for kerchief size (sample shown in Plymouth Ecco Cashmere in 'natural')
