Dive into knitting with this classic sailor's cap! A "Killick" is another name for the rank of Leading Seaman in many Commonwealth navies. It is also derived from the Old German word for "anchor"the perfect description for this sailor-style cap. As a beginner project, it will be an "anchor" for many knitting skills to come. Whether you are just starting out, or simply looking for something quick-and-easy, this watchman's cap, which uses raglan-style decreases to create the shaping, will soon be a "go-to" toque pattern in your arsenal. Get creative with stripe placements and yarn to make it uniquely yours! SKILL LEVEL: Beginner FORMAT: Adobe PDF File SIZES: Three super-stretchy sizes: Toddler, Youth, and Adult. PATTERN REQUIREMENTS: For a striped hat, 1-2 50g/1.76 oz aran-weight balls of Colour A and 1 ball of Colour B. For solid hat, 1-2 50g/1.76 oz balls of Colour A only. I recommend "Knit Picks Wool of the Andes". Also, 4.5 mm/US 7 double-pointed needles OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE; yarn needle; ruler or measuring tape.
