My username is goddessofwhimsy on Raverly and my website is ramblingdesign.wordpress.com I am a freelance designer for many years now. I have designed for Plymouth yarns, Koigu, The Alpaca yarn company, Darn Good Yarn and many more. My designs have been published in Vogue knitting. At the moment I am looking for a company to take me on as their in house designer. I would love to be part of a team. I still do freelance designing and even custom knitting through my newly established designing firm Slipknot designs. I no longer sell the rights to any of my designs. I have been taught to knit when I was 5 or six, by my Grandmother in Bavaria, where I was born and raised. I have knitted and crochet on and off throughout the years. At 24 I came to the States, met the most wonderful of all husbands and needed something to do when the kids would take naps and my husband was at work. I also lived right across the street from a shop that sold yarn and needles and other crafty things. One afternoon I went and got myself some cotton and a crochet hook and the rest is history! I want to give a thanks to my husband at this point, who has put up with my antics over the years and has been encouraging me and believing in me always! Thank you baby! I love you! And to my children: I think you are the most amazing little monkeys around and I would not want to be without any of you ever again!
