If the weather outside forces you to seek refuge in the warm comfort of the indoors, what quicker way to past time than to work on a project that challenges your skills. For knitters, that would mean getting out your cable needles, stitch markers, row counter, needles and start "clicking." Our newest design in the super bulky yarn series, the Kelly Hat, is one that would require the said "tools" to create cables, zigzagging 2-st cross-overs, and bobbles all in a single piece. The crown reveals a four-leaved shape made by strategically placed decreasing stitches at each round. Instructions are written and charted. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit, purl, knitting through back loop, make bobble, cables, cross-overs, increasing (make 1), decreasing (knit 2 stitches together, purl 2 stitches together, ssk), knitting in the round. GAUGE 9 sts and 12 rows = 4" sq (10 cm sq) on US13. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 19" (48 cm) and stretches to 23" (58 cm) in circumference.
