Katren is the tender-hearted character from The Ancient Future by Traci Harding, a well-loved book of mine. When thinking of Katren, hearts come to mind, as she is a kind, sweet heart and the mother hen of the Chosen. Rags to riches, this cropped cardigan shows the elegance of being a lady with the practical long sleeves of a commoner. Designed to keep the chest and heart warm of your little one, the cute, single cable pattern extends down the arms to the cuff, showing everyone a mother's love, just like Katren's. Also available in 4 ply for babies (sizes 0-12 months) Sizing 12 months (18 months, 2 years, 3 years), (4 years, 5 years, 6 years), (7 years, 8 years, 10 years) Materials Approximate Yarn: 115g (130g, 145g, 165g), (180g, 200g, 220g), (250g, 285g, 320g) DK weight yarn Approximate Yardage: 230m (260m, 290m, 330m), (360m, 395m, 440m), (500m, 570m, 635m) or 250 (285, 320, 360), (395, 430, 480), (546, 625, 695) yards You will also need 4-6 buttons depending on size BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY work buttonholes work cables read charts work in the round knit purl increase decrease GAUGE 22 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 12 months (18 months, 2 years, 3 years), (4 years, 5 years, 6 years), (7 years, 8 years, 10 years) SUGGESTED YARN 694 yards of DK weight
