I have been making things my whole life. My grandmothers both sewed and knit, and one made beautiful quilts as well (an endeavour that I'm not sure I have the patience for but would love to try). I don't really remember them actually teaching me to sew or knit. I think I just learned by watching. My Mom always kept a big bag of scrap fabric and she let me loose on the sewing machine at a very young age. I owe a lot to these three women for their patience and inspiration!
