Jelly Bean is a simply striped, slightly slouchy beanie with a interesting broken rib edging, designed especially for colder months. With it's warm, washable (and dry-able!) wool and bright colors, it adds cheer and coziness to a baby's sweet little head. This is a simple pattern and a quick knit, perfect for using up leftover bits of stash wool. This hat is meant to fit with some ease and end up a bit on the slouchy side in the back. Pattern includes helpful photos and instructions including notes on all the techniques described. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit and purl decreases switching colors for stripes GAUGE 5 stitches and 7 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS newborn, 3-9 months, 12-24 months

Supplies Needed

  • 3 or 4 skeins of Knit Pick's Swish DK or other dk weight washable wool yarn
  • size 5 and 6 DNPs or size 6 and 7 DPNs
