I came up with this idea because the two colours I used remind me of Ireland's greeness and beauty. I first picked up a sewing needle when I was about 7 years old, learning to hand-sew hems, replace buttons etc I progressed to machine sewing in my teenage years but never owned my own machine until I started having my family, when I was making my daughter's clothes and home furnishings. My lifelong passion has been knitting from the time I first picked up a set of needles at 12 years old - more than 30 years ago now! It's always been very therapeutic and I love seeing how the pattern forms to become a finished result. Anything from scarves and beanies, to jumpers, shawls and blankets. My desire now is to design my own patterns and make them available to the interested public!
