Knit up ?fun? gingham covers for those unused ice cream pails! OR use a 5 quart pail. This is a nice pattern for ?country dcor? or any dcor. Knit up the cover in rounds with easy graph, on US # 6 knitting needles, and worsted weight yarn. Directions tell you how to knit the handle cover too! This works up rather quickly on a 24 inch circular needle. Use the finished bucket for a yarn tote, knitting or crochet tote, magazine holder, mail holder, holder for small toys. You will think of many uses for this. It really transforms an ordinary plastic ice cream bucket into something special! Supplies Needed

  • Worsted Weight Yarn, Approximately 3 Oz. Dark Color and 2 Oz. Light Color One 24 Inch Circular Needle, US #6 One 5 Quart Ice Cream Pail or Utility Pail (Available at many hardware & discout stores). The bucket or pail should measure about 7 inches tall and about 26 inches around at top. Elastic Thread (optional)

The Frugal Knitting Haus was founded in July of 1989. It began around the innovative patterns of our founder, designing quick and simple patterns using up leftover scraps of yarn.
