This is a pattern for a simple hat that comes with a jam-packed 8-page teaching module. This module details how to prepare for and teach a three-session beginning knitting class. Please note that this document is NOT designed to teach you how to knit. Teaching a knitting class requires serious work. My teaching modules remove a lot of the stress and preparation and allow you to enjoy your class more. The PDF includes: * 8 pages of detailed and innovative instructions on how to prepare for and teach a beginning knitting class, including what materials and facilities you will need, how to prepare for the class, a step-by-step schedule of what to do in class, how to handle difficult situations in the classroom, and questions to ask yourself as a teacher * a pattern for a simple, stylish hat that you can use as a class project for your students * full pattern and teaching support from the designer I bring a wealth of experience to these modules: a knitter for the past 25 years, I have taught dozens of knitting classes, from beginning to advanced, in a variety of venues. I have also been a college professor for 12 years, and have thought a great deal about what works in the classroom. _________________________________________________ TESTIMONIALS (for my How to Teach Stranded Knitting module): I proposed your class to my LYS and they've said sure and we're setting a date in January.
