

This relatively simple stitch pattern creates a lovely fabric. I especially love the use of purl stitches as a primary element, and the fact that the pattern works on a background of Stockinette Stitch. Knit this one up with dropped shoulders as shown, or with set-in sleeves if you prefer - instructions for both are included. Use a solid colored yarn as I did, or try a heathered yarn for extra color. The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 4 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
