How it works

  • This pattern was designed by a Craftsy independent design partner!
  • You'll purchase through PayPal and all profits go to the designer.
  • After purchase find your pattern in your pattern library.

Fanciful mid-calf stockings begin with a ruffled, ribbed cuff (plus alternate instructions for a non-ruffled ribbed cuff) and an eyelet row to secure top of stockings with a ribbon (also optional!). An ornate cabled pattern at the top of the sock is followed by a twisted-rib panel on the front, with cabled "clocks" on either side and stockinette stitch worked on the back. This top-down sock begins with an intricate cable chart and morphs into an elegant, easy-to-memorize pattern that has enough to keep an advanced knitted interested while not being terribly fussy. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knitting in the round increasing decreasing reading charts cables twisted stitches short rows GAUGE 32 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 7 (8, 9)"

I learned to knit the worst way there is - from a book! And not even a good book, a really crappy one (Knitting for Dummies)! For some reason I stuck with it, and now I'm thoroughly addicted. I’ve been a licensed massage therapist, a yarn dyer for a small hand-dyed yarn company, and spent many years as an office slave. As previously noted, I compulsively knit, design and spin in my free time. If I’m not doing any of the above, you can find me playing music in the band Shalloboi, in which I sing and play drums.
