PATTERN DETAILS

Lacy knee-highs shouldn't be missing from any knitter's sock drawer. How cool would it be to stroll through the park in a short skirt and chunky lace knee-socks?! Well, if you're anything like me, you might not have the patience to knit a pair on 2 mm neeeles in lace-weight, but these chunky beauties will knit up in no time at all and the chunky yarn and rustic feel contrast nicely with the overall, delicate lace pattern. The socks are worked toe-up, starting with a provisional cast-on to get a seamless, smooth toe. The German short-rows in the heel are especially useful for bulky yarns like this, since they dispence with the wraps that would add more bulk to the heel stitches. The lace pattern is given in chart form only. Instructions included for: - Chrochet Chain Cast On - Seamless easy toe - German Short Rows BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Read Charts Basic Lace Skills GAUGE 16 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in St st 19 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm in Harebell Lace SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Customizeable - combine 3 different foot lengths, calf circumferences and leg lengths SUGGESTED YARN 320 yards of Chunky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Manos del Uruguay 'Wool Clasica' COLORWAY Natural
