The Ha'Penny Loop is a warm, useful and dramatic cowl. It can be worn as a long scarf, twisted over the head for use as a hood/scarf, and oh, many other ways. The simple 6 stitch repeat gives a 3d effect of one net laid over another, held together by the twisted rib edges. It's a fast, giant lace done on size US#11 circular needles. The pattern comes in .pdf form and is 9mgs. The sample used 8 balls of Lana Grossa "Chiara" 50 grams, 190 meters or 74.8 yards, held 4 ends together. A single end of yarn that works on this needle requires about 300 yds. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl, twist, yarnovers GAUGE not important SUGGESTED YARN 300 yards of Chunky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN varies
