Grey Cables Beanie Having never found the exact right beanie pattern for myself, I finally designed this beanie to fit exactly the way I wanted it to, yay! With moderate slouchiness, a wide ribbed band for grip over ample hair, a rolled edge to frame the face (and to keep the yarn edge off my ridiculously sensitive forehead), and 4 simple cables for interest. :) The beanie is worked in the round from a written pattern with worsted weight yarn. I used a tweedy acrylic/wool mix. The beanie works up quickly, I knit it easily in a day. You will need to know how to work in the round, basic cabling and 2 x 2 rib. Materials: 2 x balls Moda Vera 'Collette' (80% acrylic, 20% wool, 95m per 50g ball, worsted weight) You won't need much of the second ball. 4.5mm (US 7) DPNs or short or long circular (depending on your preferred method of working in the round) 5.5mm (US 9) DPNs or short or long circular (depending on your preferred method of working in the round. DPNs are easiest for working the crown.)
