PATTERN DETAILS

This is a cute summer shell that works up quickly and looks great. It was inspired by sitting on the porch looking out at the garden. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit, Purl, Simple Lace GAUGE 20 stitches and 24 rows = 4" (10cm) in Lace pat on larger needles. 24 stitches and 28 rows = 4" (10cm) in stockinette stitch on smaller needles. Wet fabric with cool water and lay flat to dry prior to measuring gauge SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Bust: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50) inches PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Rowan Wool Cotton

I am a knitwear designer and teacher with a full time job and a family. I learned to knit, crochet, sew, cross stitch, etc. from my mother as a child. I think I jumped from craft to craft more often than I would like to admit! Knitting has become my main focus. I love to create new designs, and to figure out new ways of doing things. I really want my designs to be easy to wear, AND well fitting and flattering. There is no need to take all the time to make something if it is not going to be worn! Although I love to create a well fitting, good looking cardigan or pullover, I also really like to crank out accessories. There is nothing like the feeling of getting a project, or a new pattern done! I self publish. Those are the designs that you see here on Craftsy. I also design for yarn companies and knitting publications on a regular basis.
