Designed by Melissa LaBarre, and knit out of Peridot, a vibrant color of Road to China Light, this hat begins with a classic 1 x 1 rib that transforms into a beautiful leaf lace panel pattern after a round of increases for the body of the slightly slouchy tam. The decreases at the top form an integrated star motif. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knitting Purling Increasing Decreasing Reading Lace Charts GAUGE 24 sts + 32 rows = 4" in StSt on 4 mm needles after blocking. 27 sts + 32 rows = 4" in Lace Pattern on 4 mm needles after blocking SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 10.5" dia, 7.5" height + 16" brim circ, unstretched.
