The Foothills Sock brings a new technique to top-cuff-down socks. It offers not only this new cuff, but 2 choices of comfortable heel shapes. I've also included videos and links for visual references. The body of the sock is a very comfortable waffle stitch that is an easy 4 row repeat. Though it was made with a yarn that has an elastic texture, it knits up beautifully in any fingering weight yarn. I suggest going up a needle size if you need a little extra ease. Only one of my test knitters went up a needle size. Written for 2 Circulars or Magic Loop, but can be worked on Double Points. Like all my patterns I write each one as if we were sitting together having a lesson. There are hints and suggestions throughout. I have been fortunate to have a life filled with knitting and beautiful yarns. Then it took on a life of it's own. I began designing knit patterns, spinning, and learning everything I could about fiber and now I'm hand dyeing. It's turned into a lifestyle of teaching and sharing the things I love with wonderful people. October 2013, I celebrated 49 years of being in this crazy colorful world of Fiber Artist.
